Jasprit Bumrah made the headlines when he said he won’t play the fourth Test against England due to personal reasons. Later on, it was revealed that India’s top-quality fast bowler is planning to get hitched soon.
The news of him getting set to enter the wedlock spread like wildfire on social media. Due to this, he made himself unavailable for the five-match T20I series against England. The T20I opener commences from March 12 onwards at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad.
It was also learned that Bumrah has also asked for a break from the 3-match ODI series against England. The ODIs are slated to be held after the end of 5 T20Is. The ODI opener is scheduled to go all guns blazing on March 23 at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.
Since the ace bowler is getting hitched soon, he just needs time in a bid to prepare for the biggest phase of his life. Sources in the BCCI circle in the know of developments said that Jasprt Bumrah is planning to get hitched soon.
Bumrah will get back into the Indian cricket team once he gets married. “He informed the BCCI that he is getting married and has taken the leave to help in preparations for the big day,” the source said as quoted by Hindustan Times.
Yuvraj Singh trolls Jasprit Bumrah

However, Bumrah must have surely expected this sort of tweet from his former teammate. Yuvraj took to his official Twitter handle and wrote: “Paucha marun pehle yah jhadu?” (Should I mop first or sweep?). Yuvi’s tweet kept the fans talking on social media.
Jasprit played two Tests against England
Earlier, a BCCI official confirmed that there is no concern about Bumrah over his fitness. “He just wanted to take time off and give himself some rest at his home and importantly tend to a very personal matter,” the BCCI official was quoted as saying.
The 27-year-old fast bowler played in the first Test match against England in Chennai. After that, he did not feature in the second Test match at the same venue. He made his way back to playing XI in the third Test.
However, Indian spinners brought their skills to the forefront by taking most of the wickets. Overall, Bumrah took just 4 wickets in his two games. He registered best bowling figures of 3/84 in the first Test at Chepauk Stadium, Chennai.
