Virat Kohli is arguably one of the most passionate cricketers in the world going around. Be it an international match or an IPL fixture, the Indian skipper always seems to make the headlines with his aggressive attitude both on and off the field. The Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper was once again at his animated best during the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore on Saturday after Shirmon Hetmyer produced a sensational effort in the field to dismiss Manish Pandey in the 8th over of the match.
It was dropped short from Washington Sundar and Manish Pandey had all the time in the world to rock back onto the backfoot and swivel the pull but he failed to get the connection right on it. The ball went high up into the air and Hetmyer came running in from deep mid wicket before diving across to complete the catch inches above the ground. Hetmyer however looked unsure after taking the catch and the umpires decided to refer the dicision to the third umpire after giving the soft signal as out.
The third umpire took a long hard look at the replays before deciding that Hetmyer had his fingers underneath the ball while the catch was taken. The soft signal stayed as there was no conclusive evidence for the third umpire to overturn the soft signal and Pandey was on his way back to the pavilion after scoring just 9 runs off 12 balls. As soon as the decision appeared on the big screen, Hetymer did a little jig but it was Virat Kohli who stole the show with his celebration as he pretended to take his gun out in a light hearted moment as SRH lost their third wicket for just 61 runs.
