Virat Kohli has expressed his utter shock to see the cool legendary batsman Rahul Dravid unleash his angry side in an advertisement. There is an ad that has gone viral in minutes. CRED has launched a new IPL 14 campaign. The ad features Indian batsman, Rahul Dravid, and actor, Jim Sarbh.
Jim Sarbh is explaining the benefit of paying credit card bills on CRED. He is saying that will fetch one CRED coin. Those in turn will reward users with exciting cashback.
To highlight the viewer’s attention to this benefit of CRED, we see Rahul Dravid in a never seen angry avatar. Jim says although this offer sounds ridiculous, it is true. He compares this to Rahul Dravid losing temper which is the centre of attraction of this ad.
Rahul Dravid is stuck in a traffic jam in his car. He is not at all amused at his plight and angrily shouts at all the fellow people alongside his car. He is also throwing stuff at other people’s vehicles and breaking one’s mirror with a bat. “That does not mean you can overtake”, “I am the don of Indiranagar” are some of the highlights of this hilarious ad shoot.
Rahul Dravid also stands out of his car with a cricket bat shouting and raising his shoulders towards the end of the ad. The netizens have been shocked at the acting skills of the batsman. Especially the contrasting character is a treat for everyone who has known the calm and composed Rahul on the field during his days.
Apart from his fans, Indian skipper, Virat Kohli is also surprised at this display of Rahul Dravid’s character. He takes it to social media and shares his reaction in his Twitter post saying: “Never seen this side of Rahul bhai,”.
Here is what Virat tweeted:
We all know Rahul Dravid to be an extra patient and cool character on the field. Opposition bowlers and fielders find it a hard time to dismiss “The Wall”. Sledging, eye contact, and whatnot do not falter his determination as he stands unaffected at the crease.
The exact opposite representation of Rahul Dravid in this ad will be remembered by the cricket fans in the days to come.
IPL 14 marks the beginning
A five-month-long wait has finally come to an end. IPL fans are very much excited to see their favorite teams back in action again. Despite the covid 19 restrictions, the IPL has not been impacted.
Similar to the last edition, we will see crowds not on the ground but in front of their TV sets at home. However, there is no decrease in the level of excitement as fans continue to cheer louder than ever.
The inaugural match will feature defending champions Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers contesting against each other. Mumbai Indians would be eyeing another consecutive title while RCB would be desperate to end the drought of trophies this year.
Ma Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai would be hosting the match. Both skippers Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma would definitely leave no stones unturned to own the match. It would be hence highly interesting to watch out for how the match pans out.
