Virat Kohli was quick to show his reaction to an extraordinary shot by AB De Villiers. In an ongoing IPL match against Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore have put up a massive total. The team has set a target of 205. This is a brilliant score on such a pitch and it would be interesting to see how KKR chases it.
Glenn Maxwell inaugurated the show of sixes for RCB. The Australian all-rounder showered boundaries all over the ground. Switch hit, sweep shot, pull, cover drives were all major attractions of his brilliant innings. He scored a quick half-century in just 29 balls to set the stage.
Whilst the show was in progress, Prasidh Krishna got the better of opener Devdutt Padikkal. The latter was struggling in his innings from the beginning. However, this wicket opened a can of worms for the KKR side as it marked the entry of AB De Villiers.
AB De Villiers took some time to free his arms. He did not blast in his usual way but decided to get comfortable in the crease prior to causing the impending destruction. However, when he caught his own trend, there seemed to be no stoppage.
He welcomed the terrific-looking Varun Chakraborty with a volley of boundaries in a single over. In the subsequent over, he showed Prasidh Krishna the same fate as well.
Skipper Eoin Morgan was perturbed at the growing run rate and brought Andre Russell into the attack. We could see a variety of shots in this over itself. However, Virat Kohli could not control his awe in one of the shots which have now hit headlines.

The first delivery deceived De Villiers as he was unable to score any run. The second delivery went farther away from De Villier’s reach and was wide. Then began the destruction ceremony and ultimately show time.
The very next delivery was sent to the stands powerfully. It marked his domination on the crease perfectly. He hammered the third delivery for four. Russell continued with his full wide outside off deliveries even then.
The fifth delivery brought out an interesting shot off De Villiers bat. Russell launched a terrible pacy full toss and all De Villiers did was gently open the bat’s face. The ball skillfully went to the left of short third man.
Virat Kohli could not control his excitement at this shot of his. He gave a standing ovation to De Villiers who seemed to have a shot for every delivery. Virat Kohli was already enjoying each of his shots, however, this shot was something unique.
Even after this, AB De Villiers willow continued to produce more runs as well. As a result, RCB posted a humongous 205 runs total for KKR to chase down. AB De Villiers finished as the second-highest run-scorer for the side after Maxwell. Maxwell scored 78 runs off 49 deliveries while AB De Villiers amassed 76 runs in just 34 deliveries.
Almost all the bowlers for KKR went for runs. Prasidh Krishna was the most economical of all as he conceded runs at 7.8 rpo. Varun Chakravarthy was the most successful of bowlers as he bagged 02 wickets for the side.
