One needs to possess a rainbow of bowling variations to set up a hat-trick opportunity. In this scenario, Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan perfectly fits the bill. The 22-year-old has once again bagged a hat-trick.

Yes, the leg-spinner scripted history in Big Bash League. His hat-trick was spread across two overs and thus he was able to achieve the feat. With this hat-trick in BBL, he registered the third hat-trick in his T20 career.

Plying his trade for Adelaide Strikers, the 22-year-old ripped through the defence of Sydney Sixers. The leg-spinner ruffled the batsmen feathers with three superb deliveries. The spinner almost steered his side to a win.

The canny leg-spinner made waves in the BBL match against Sydney Sixers with his exceptional bowling. During the 11th over, Rashid Khan dismissed the likes of England player James Vince.

After that, he got rid of Jack Edwards in the next delivery. He completed his over and waited for another chance to weave the magic in his next over. Since he set up a perfect hat-trick opportunity, he made use of it properly.

The young leg-spinner showcased his mettle in the first ball of his next over. He bowled Jordan Silk through the gate with his sensational googly. As a result, he completed his third hat-trick of his T20 career.

Despite his splendid hat-trick, Rashid couldn’t spin his side to victory. Josh Hazlewood hogged the limelight in the last over as he thumped 3 successive boundaries off Peter Siddle’s bowling.

Hazlewood’s last over heroics helped Sydney Sixers bag a two-wicket win with 8 balls to spare. Rashid Khan’s incredible effort with the ball went in vain but he won the hearts of the cricket fans.

The Afghanistan leg-spinner is currently involved in the ongoing 14th edition of the Indian Premier League. Plying his trade for Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rashid Khan bowled really well in the game against Kolkata Knight Riders.

The 22-year-old leg-spinner was the pick of the bowlers for SRH. He picked up 2 wickets to his name in his quota of 4 overs. Rashid conceded 24 runs and maintained an impressive economy of 6.

KKR posted 187/6 in their allotted quota of 20 overs. Nitish Rana top-scored with 80 off 56 balls (9 fours, 4 sixes). KKR restricted SRH to 177/5 and won the game by 10 runs. Manish Pandey’s unbeaten 61 went in vain.
