Afghanistan all-rounder Rashid Khan is making the headlines for all the right reasons these days. Be it batting, bowling, or fielding, he knows how to make a good impression on the field. The 22-year-old asset is one of the most valuable players in T20 cricket.

He would break into any playing XI because of his credentials. The cricket fraternity has seen him showcasing his bowling skills in the shortest format. On the other side of the coin, Rashid has also displayed his batting skills to a great extent.

Tagged as a ‘pinch hitter’ in the present era, Rashid Khan has perfected the art of hitting superb ‘sixes’. He has done time and time again while plying his trade in several T20 leagues in the globe.

In franchise leagues, he represents Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League. Coming to Australia’s franchise cricket, he plies his trade for Adelaide Strikers in Big Bash League. He also plays for Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League.

Rashid Khan hits a helicopter shot in PSL

The Afghan cricketer is currently playing for Lahore Qalandars in Pakistan’s franchise cricket league. During the second match of PSL between Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi, Rashid Khan hogged the limelight for his ‘superb batting’.

During Qalandars’ run-chase of 141, they lost important wickets in crucial intervals. However, the likes of Mohammad Hafeez and Rashid Khan kept the game alive by middling boundaries when it mattered the most.

Meanwhile, Rashid Khan unleashed a helicopter shot for a six and took everyone by surprise. Usually, he plays these types of shots quite well in T20 cricket. The fans once again witnessed a spectacular shot from Rashid as the latter handed his team a win.

The incident took place during the 3rd ball of the 19th over bowled by Amad Butt. Rashid was in a hurry to finish things when they needed 4 runs off 10 balls. The Afghanistan international launched one into the stands by swinging his blade.

As a result, Lahore Qalandars won the game by 4 wickets with 9 balls remaining. Rashid ended up scoring an unbeaten 27 off 15 balls with the help of 3 fours and a six. On the contrary, Mohammad Hafeez scored 33 off 26 balls including 5 boundaries.

Shaheen Afridi – Man of the Match

Earlier, Peshawar Zalmi batted first and scored 140 for the loss of 6 wickets in their allotted quota of 20 overs. Ravi Bopara was the pick of the batsmen as he scored 50 off 44 balls with the help of 6 fours. Qalandars’ fast bowler Shaheen Afridi was the pick of the bowlers as he accounted for 3 dismissals to his name.

The Pakistan international conceded just 14 runs in his quota of 4 overs while also bowling a maiden over. Salman Mirza took 2 wickets to his name while Wiese settled for 1 wicket. In reply, Lahore Qalandars comfortably aced the run-chase with the help of Hafeez and Rashid Khan.
