“He’ll do wonders if he moves to Manchester United!” experts on this Chelsea star

Premier League pundit for BBC Sport, Garth Crooks has said that if Manchester United want to win the next season of Premier League they need to get this Chelsea star

After a shocking 1-0 defeat to West Brom yesterday Manchester United are now out of the contention for this season’s Premier League title. With arch rivals Manchester City blowing the oppositions away this year, Manchester United was unable to keep the same pace and are looking set to finish second.

Analysing yesterday’s shocking defeat to West Brom, the BBC Sports Pandit Garth Crooks has claimed that Manchester United need to get a few things right to perform well next season. He has also said that they should go for Chelsea’s star performer Willian, which could be a game-changing move for the Red Devils.

Willian

Willian has been good for Chelsea and can potentially move to Manchester United

Chelsea, on the other hand, has had an extremely disappointing season and they now stand on the 5th spot unable to defend their title last year. They have seen disappointing performances from their star-studded lineup consisting Alvaro Morata and Eden Hazard. But their winger, the 29-year-old Brazilian, Willian has been impressive. He was instrumental in the epic 3-2 comeback against Southampton and has drawn interest from other Premier League heavyweights.

Crooks feels if United can follow up their quest for Chelsea’s Nemanja Matic last summer with the addition of Willian, a title challenge will certainly be mounted.

I think this lad has been Chelsea’s best player this season,” Crooks said on Willian in his BBC Sports column.

“He provided two assists against Southampton and has been as consistent as anyone in the Blues line-up

Therefore, it seems there are certain changes on the cards in the squad of these two Premier League giants it would be interesting to see how things unfold this transfer season.

Author’s Take:

Willian has been in good touch this season and might be a good option for the Red Devils. The Brazilian was instrumental in the 3-2 victory and has shown why Mourinho is reportedly keen on a reunion with the 29-year-old at Old Trafford.

Manchester City has been tremendous this year and is looking set to continue the same onslaught next year as well. Teams have been making strategies to stop them and if Manchester United are able to get Willian in their armour, they might be able to do that.
