United boss Solskjaer has two solutions which could see Sancho transfer still go through

Manchester United are looking for various alternatives to sign Jadon Sancho.

The summer transfer window is close and the rumors have started already. Deals are being finalized already. But the coronavirus pandemic has somewhat put a hold on big-money moves. One such transfer is the long-awaited move of Jadon Sancho to Manchester United.

United are linked with the Dortmund winger since the last summer’s transfer window. Many rumors floated with various deals between Dortmund and United finalized but none came true. Now the deal is about paying the £120 million price of the winger amidst this pandemic.

Last summer and Manchester United are well in a position to pay the lump-sum which now looks less of a possibility. Europe’s elite clubs have faced a lot of financial damage due to the new format of resumed football. Manchester United to face financial depletion due to many reasons and it is clear that the club is in no position to pay any huge money.

United boss Solskjaer thimks transfers could still go as planned.
Solskjaer has hinted at two ways to make transfers happen.

But United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has come out with two possible situations where the club can see Sancho’s incoming this summer. Solskjaer suggests two methods to make the big-money move of Jadon Sancho happen.

Solskjaer Thinks It Depends On How Soon Fans Are Allowed In Stadiums

According to Solskjaer, Sancho could still be a United player this year.
Sancho looks all set to join Manchester United.

The first suggestion made by the Norwegian was the fans returning to the stadiums. Solskjaer thinks there will be revenue incoming when the fans are allowed to the games. That would at least help the club to get some financial boost in signing players in the summer transfer window.

Moreover, Solskjaer also made it clear that the teams too will get their fans’ support back to boost the play. Solskjaer said:

“Lets see, how fast we can get our fans back in (stadium)”.

Solskjaer Aims At Champions League Qualification To Add To Financial Books

European football is also a source of financial aid according to Solskjaer.
Ed Woodward would agree to Solskjaer’s solutions.

Another way to make transfers happen according to Solskjaer is to get qualified for European football next season. Solskjaer knows the financial profits European football can bring. United are currently sixth in the Premier League table, five points adrift fourth-placed Chelsea. But the Red Devils have played a game less than the fifth-placed Wolves who are three points above United. Solskjaer speaks on finishing in the top four:

“Of Course, the League position is important for us, also the FA Cup or Europa League, which can qualify us to Champions League if you get them. There’s still a lot of uncertainty in the coming three-four months. Every businessman and footballer in the world is unsure about what it (the effect) will be”.

Former Liverpool player Didi Hamann also thinks that be it this year or next, United are going to sign Sancho.

“(Jadon) Sancho is too good to wait another year. I see him playing in the Premier League, most probably (Manchester) United. There are investors who can dig to make up for deficits. Moreover, there is a crazy TV income in England, and the investors giving clubs new opportunities.”

A few months back Solskjaer had made it clear that United have their transfers planned and are working towards them. But the pandemic may just delay United’s transfer plans. But United have reportedly taken a loan of £140 million in order to bolster their signings. It remains whether United spends the majority of the loan on Sancho’s move or cheaper alternatives.
