The Indian Premier League has witnessed a plethora of catches near the boundary rope since the inception. Be it long-on, long-off, mid-wicket boundary, or anything else, fielders have given absolutely everything to take catches.
The fourth match of IPL 2021 between Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings took place at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson won the toss and invited the KL Rahul-led team to open the face of the blade.
Despite losing Mayank Agarwal early on, Punjab Kings found great support in the form of captain KL Rahul and Chris Gayle. The duo added a 67-run partnership before Chris Gayle departed for 40 off 28 balls (4 fours, 2 sixes).
Deepak Hooda started playing shots from the word go and tormented Rajasthan Royals’ bowlers with relative ease. Hooda and Rahul stitched together a game-changing 105-run partnership which put the team in the pole position.

Deepak Hooda played the best knock of his life by scoring 64 off just 28 balls. The right-handed batsman thumped as many as 4 fours and 6 sixes at a strike rate of 228.57. On the other hand, KL Rahul went about his business.
While the skipper was en route to scoring a century, Chetan Sakariya and Rahul Tewatia ruined his plans. KL Rahul was dismissed in the second ball of the 20th over bowled by Chetan Sakariya. Chetan Sakariya who already took 1 catch and bagged 2 wickets tried to keep KL Rahul in check.

The skipper played a big shot in an attempt to go for a maximum. As it turned out, the ball almost sailed over the mid-wicket boundary. Rahul Tewatia showed brilliant fielding skill near the boundary rope. The 27-year-old pulled off an outrageous catch without any mistake.
Initially, he caught the ball, threw it back as he went past the ropes, and then sprinted back to take a catch. KL Rahul made his way back to the dressing room after scoring 91 off 50 balls. Rahul smashed 7 fours and 5 sixes at a strike rate of 182.
