Time might slowly run out for Rajasthan Royals if they don’t find the right solution to all problems. First of all, they are not using their available resources to better effect.
The Royals have failed to devise a new strategy with the players to counter the opposition. As if that’s not enough, they already lost three England stars from their machinery.
Ben Stokes (broken finger), Jofra Archer (hand injury), and Liam Livingstone (bio-bubble fatigue) are out of the RR squad. They have been ruled out of the ongoing 14th edition of the Indian Premier League.
Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals are yet to name a replacement. On the other hand, their ongoing form has been pathetic as they managed to secure just 1 win against Delhi Capitals this season.
Punjab Kings, Chennai Super Kings, and Royal Challengers Bangalore were the teams that defeated Rajasthan Royals. Meanwhile, RR are locking horns with Kolkata Knight Riders in the 18th match of the IPL.
Rajasthan Royals are at the bottom of the IPL 2021 points table. Their captain Sanju Samson won the toss and invited Eoin Morgan’s side to bat first in Mumbai.
Parag and Tewatia come up with a selfie celebration
Kolkata Knight Riders failed to provide a good start as they lost their opening pair early on. Nitish Rana (22) and Shubman Gill (11) departed for cheap scores and it only complicated things for KKR. However, Rahul Tripathi held his nerves for a while as he scored 36 off 26 balls. The Maharashtra cricketer hit 1 six and 2 fours to his name. While he was en route to a half-century, Mustafizur Rahman got rid of him in the second ball of the 16th over.
Tripathi tried to hit the ball towards the deep but Mustafizur delivered a slower ball. The right-handed batsman hit the ball towards a deep square leg. Meanwhile, Riyan Parag took a good catch and came up with a selfie celebration. Rahul Tewatia also joined him and made it a bit more special.
