Tottenham rooting their interest in a sign the long term midfield target from Valencia.

Tottenham revives their strong interest in signing Valencia midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia in the summer.

Tottenham Hotspur remains interested in signing Valencia midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia at the end of the season.  Jose Mourinho is looking to strengthen his side’s Midfield this summer. 

Spurs have shown major interest in the defensive midfielder back in 2017. They have been the long-term admirers of the 27-year-old defensive midfielder.

Tottenham have always monitored the situation of Geoffrey Kondogbia since they lost Moussa Dembele back in 2017.

The Portuguese boss is keen to strengthen his midfield options at the end of the season. Plus the departures of Victor Wanyama and Christian Eriksen during the January transfer window left Spurs weak in the midfield.

The Central African Republic international is now a Midfield target for Spurs after his consistent form for the Mates this season.

Kondogbia has become a consistent performer for Albert Celades’ side of this campaign. Thus has featured in 24 games across all competitions. His fruitful efforts helped the Mates to reach the current seventh spot in La Liga.

Mourinho is preparing to bolster his squad as he intends to help Tottenham Hotspur challenge for the titles next season.

Spurs’ chief scout Steve Hitchen is an admirer of the Central African Republic international and is monitoring his progress at Valencia.

The Scouting process is at a minimum for the time being. As a result of the coronavirus outbreak seeing the suspension of all major leagues across Europe. La Liga has also been suspended on Thursday amid the pandemic.

Kondogbia senior club career.

The defensive midfielder began his career with Lens in France, making 35 league appearances for the senior team. Later he moved to Spain to join Sevilla in 2012.

After spending only a season at La Liga, he made a return to France to team up with Monaco where he spent two years.

Afterwards he joined Inter Milan leaving the French side in 2015. He completed a £20 million move to Valencia in 2018 after an initial loan spell with the side.

Since making a move to the Mestalla Stadium, Kondogbia has featured 89 times for the La Liga side across all competitions.
