Tottenham Hotspur to sign Real Madrid midfielder

Reports in the Spanish media suggest Champions League finalists Tottenham Hotspur could sign a Real Madrid midfielder.

UEFA Champions League finalists Tottenham Hotspur are targetting Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos, a report in the AS suggests. Spurs, who didn’t sign any players in the previous summer and winter transfer window, are interested in the player who looks to have no future at Real Madrid.

Other reports also suggest the player has also attracted interests from various other top European clubs. However, it is also said that the player prefers the North London club.

Dani ceballos makes decisions on future after coversionsation

Tottenham Hotspur have reached the Champions League finals this season and have a chance to clinch it by beating Liverpool in the final. Many Tottenham Hotspur players are linked with moves away from the club this season and report claims Mauricio Pochettino wants to sign the player.

At Real Madrid, Ceballos has failed to establish himself as an irreplaceable figure and has often found his place on the substitutes list. It is not surprising that the player wants to leave the club in search of greener pastures given the lack of playing time he has had at Real Madrid.

Real Madrid are expected to spend big this summer and revive their team. They endured absolutely horrendous season this time around and are slated to sign numerous highly-rated players. It will further hinder Ceballos’ chances of making it into the starting XI.

Another Premier League and North London club Arsenal are also reportedly keen on signing the player. Italian giants and Serie A winner Juventus are also in the list of potential buyers.

It remains to be seen where Ceballos will be heading next. Will he join Tottenham Hotspur and prove his mettle in the Premier League? Or will it be their rivals Arsenal? or will he reunite with his ex-teammate Cristiano Ronaldo?

A move away from Real Madrid looks to be the right decision for Dani Ceballos. If he could find a destination where he is ensured of playing time, it will benefit him and the club he plays for.
