Spurs have tied down their superstar who has been a long-term target of Real Madrid
Tottenham talisman Harry Kane has signed a new deal with his club which could be worth a staggering £90million. The contract extension will keep Kane committed to the London club at least until 2024. The Englishman has been one of Spurs’ key contributors in the past couple of seasons.
Kane, 24, penned fresh terms with Tottenham, ending rumours linking him to Real Madrid. This comes after the Londoners tied down their manager Mauricio Pochettino as well, who was also on Madrid’s radar. Spurs confirmed Kane’s contract extension through Twitter on Friday.

The England skipper put pen to paper on a fresh contract effectively ending Madrid’s interest. Speaking to the press, he said he was delighted to continue with Spurs. “I’ve just signed a new contract. I’m delighted with that, and I can’t wait to see all you fans in the stadium next season,” said Kane.

He further continued,”I’m really excited. It’s a proud day. It’s been a great few seasons, so I’m looking forward to the future. The future at this club is bright, and that’s the main thing. Going into the new stadium as well, a great young squad … I’m just excited to keep on the train and see where it can go. For us as a club, it’s just [about] to keep improving, and we will work hard to do that.”
The 24-year-old striker finished as the top scorer of Premier League in two of last three seasons. He will reportedly double his current wages which could be somewhere near £200,000 a week including bonuses. The news will likely breath much-needed confidence into Spurs fans who will hope their team can challenge for the title next season.
Spurs tying down Kane after Pochettino will be great news for Tottenham fans. They really are building cornerstones for future as their new stadium awaits the All-Whites. With Kane and Pochettino’s futures sorted, Spurs can now focus on mounting a title challenge next term.
