TMT picks for Fantasy Premier League Game Week 1

Fantasy Premier League: Top picks for the GW1 along with Captain and Vice-Captain choices

Fantasy Premier League GW1 deadline is just around the corner and hopefully, everyone has stopped tinkering with their teams. If not, we have listed some of the best picks for the inaugural GW to help you out.

TMT has selected the famous formation 3-4-3 which allows us to have more goal scorers in our team. This team includes some short time punts as well as some differential picks to help you get that early green arrow.

So, here are the top 11 players who can bring you some good returns in GW1

Formation (3-4-3)

GK- Alex McCarthy (4.5M)

A trip to Selhurst Park will boost the probability of clean sheet for the Saints as Crystal Palace managed to score only 15 goals at home last term. Moreover, Southampton has performed exceptionally well in away games, returning with 31 points only bested by Liverpool and Manchester City.

DEF- Trent-Alexander Arnold (7.5m)

Trent Alexander-Arnold picks between Messi and Ronaldo

One of the obvious choices in the defence line is the Liverpool full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold. The right-back can bring points from various ways and gives him a higher chance to score big hauls. Looking at Liverpool’s excellent home record, Saturday night can be high-scoring opener for the Champions.

DEF- William Saliba (4.5m)

William Saliba offers a cheap route in the Arsenal defence line for the opening fixture. The Gunners are hit with some injury doubts ahead of the Premier League opener as David Luiz, Pablo Mari and Shokdran Mustafi could miss out. Saliba will start in GW1 and we can expect a clean sheet from the improved Arsenal back-line.

DEF- Timothy Castagne (5.5m)

The Belgian International comes with an attacking mindset and can play at either flank for Leicester City. Leicester will play against recently promoted side West Bromwich Albion, Castagne can pick up an attacking return along with a clean sheet.

MID- Heung-min Son (9.0m)

Son can hurt the Everton defence in GW1 and kick-start the season on a high for Jose Mourinho. Moreover, Son has had a terrific pre-season scoring 4 goals in just 3 games. He is currently owned by nearly 30% managers and Son looks to reward them in GW1.

MID- Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (12.0m) (C)

Aubameyang looks to start off the season with a bang after having a good pre-season and FA Cup run. A very famous and obvious choice for the GW1 as Aubameyang scores a lot of goals against lower sides. In addition to that, he is our best captain option for the GW1 ahead of Mohammed Salah.

MID- Mohammed Salah (12.0m) (VC)

The Liverpool winger has been in terrific form since the last 3 seasons and his home record is very intriguing. He scored 15 goals at Anfield last season which makes him our vice-captain of GW1. Liverpool will face tricky Leeds United in the opening fixture and this could turn out to be a high-scoring game. However, Aubameyang edges ahead of Salah for our Captaincy pick due to the former’s red hot form.

MID- Diogo Jota (6.5 m)

Diogo Jota can be the differential pick for the GW1 as they visit Sheffield United on Monday. The attacker is now reclassified as midfielder which allows him to get more points. Moreover, he will feature in forward line irrespective of any formation they play.

FW- Timo Werner (9.5m)

Another famous and obvious choice for the GW1 is Timo Werner. He will lead the line for Chelsea in their opening fixture against Brighton & Hove Albion. Above all, The striker will get ample chances to score goals in GW1 and he can be a differential captain pick as well.

FW- Danny Ings (8.5m)

Danny Ings was a very famous and reliable forward for the last season. He scored 22 goals for the Saints and will try to pick up from where he left off. Moreover, he turns out to be a bonus magnet for his influence on his side.

FW- Callum Wilson (6.5m)

Callum Wilson at 6.5m is a very tempting option for the GW1. Wilson can make an immediate impact for the Magpies leading the line in the season opener for them. Moreover, Wilson has scored 7 goals against West Ham in 8 Premier League appearances against them.
