Three transfers Chelsea can make after failing to sign Upamecano

Chelsea are playing well under the newly appointed Thomas Tuchel after coming as a replacement to Frank Lampard at Stamford Bridge. If Thomas Tuchel’s management goes well with the club then he might end up making a way to his first-ever transfer window with Chelsea. The club we having their eye set on Dayot Upamecano transfer since summer.

However, Marina Granovskaia and Thomas Tuchel would need to turn their attention towards another direction. As Bayern Munich announced the signing of the most coveted Center back at the end of this season. Thus the dream to land Upamecano has already broken into pieces and Premier League giants must look for other viable offers on the table.

Done and Dusted

Though Chelsea were always favorite to land Dayot Upamecano ahead of the summer transfer window. But it appears that the Bundesliga giants have been the front runners. Bayern Munich announced the signing of the 22-year-old France international from RB Leipzig today. While Upamecano will officially join the German club on July 1.

Bayern Munich have activated his €42.5m release clause that RB Leipzig has set in order for clubs vying for his signature. The French international has agreed to a five-year contract with Bayern Munich that will end in 2026. That means the most discussed yet brief Upamecano transfer saga has come to an end.

Bayern chief Hasan Salihamidzic also insisted that the club had good, intensive, and professional discussions with Dayot and his agent Volker Struth for several months. Though the competition was very tough. But Bayern was clear about the concept and its vision. The club presented the plans regarding his career. In the past week at Doha, the chief spoke to the French center back again.
