Fulham superstar Ryan Sessegnon is interested in playing for Liverpool despite interest from Manchester United.
If there is one player in England that has taken the whole country by storm it is Ryan Sessegnon. The 18-year-old left-back has been absolutely incredible for the London outfit this campaign and helped them to secure promotion back into the Premier League. Sessegnon amassed 16 goals and laid on 8 more assists and these numbers have attracted interest from major Premier League suitors.
Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea are monitoring his growth and are keen on his services. Fulham is desperate to keep him at Craven Cottage but value Sessegnon at a price of £50 million.
The Red Devils were in pole position to sign the teenage sensation as manager Jose Mourinho wanted to replace Luke Shaw with another young homegrown star. But Liverpool is now finding themselves as favorites to sign the talented star and this is why.
According to The Sunday Express, Sessegnon has an incredible soft spot for Fulham as he has spent his entire career with the London club but as a kid growing up the left-back was a massive Liverpool supporter. Sessegnon is also a massive admirer of German boss Jurgen Klopp and would be interested in a bid came if it came from the Merseyside club.
Liverpool has struggled for a natural solid left back until Scotsman Andrew Robertson’s emergence proved to be a revelation this season. More so, Sessegnon is versatile and his incredible showings in the attacking third made Fulham play further up in the left wing position where Sessegnon flourished evermore.
However, Fulham has maintained that their young superstar is not for sale at any price but a massive deal could prove to be too difficult for the promoted club to resist.
Sessegnon is really talented and I can see him becoming one of the greatest left backs or wingers in the country. He has an incredible amount of potential and now that he has already grown so much in stature Sessegnon should be ready to take his game to the next level.
