Reports are suggesting that Chelsea boss Roman Abramovich has still not confirmed who will manage Chelsea next season, as he looks to make up his mind on either Conte or a potential replacement for him.
Things have not worked out between the west London outfit and the Italian manager, as well as they would have liked, though there is no denying the fact that he won a title in each year in-charge of the club.
In his debut season as manager, the former Juventus and Italy manager won the Premier League title and in the campaign that concluded, the FA Cup.
However, with that being said, the players and their future are in doubts, as they still not know whether to stay or leave and move on with their careers, which would depend on the decision to retain Conte or sack him.
A lot of stories suggest that Sarri could be the next manager for the Blues, though there is an issue regarding his compensation that needs to be paid to Napoli, which could be the subject matter of the debate.
When Conte beat Manchester United for the FA Cup title, the west London side were expected to bid farewell to him and move on with things, though it has not gone according to plan for them.
The World Cup has also been a major distraction from the whole topic and everyone is now waiting for the end to this madness, so that they can make up their mind, as to what is going to happen at the Bridge in the upcoming campaign.
Whoever the manager of Chelsea is in the upcoming seasons, it seems that the players will decide their departure or stay based on that. Most of them are busy with the World Cup and once the tournament in Russia does conclude, could think about what the future holds for them and get a move away from the Bridge completed.
Hopefully, till that point of time, Roman and the Chelsea board can decide what they want for the club and take things forward in terms of who will be taking over from the Italian manager.
