Sunrisers Hyderabad player to miss rest of the tourney with a knee injury

Sunrisers Hyderabad has done a pretty decent job in the previous season of the IPL at the United Arab Emirates. As a result, they finished third in the points table and qualified for the IPL 2020 playoffs.

In fact, they raised their bar by beating Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Eliminator. However, they couldn’t go a step ahead as they were beaten by Delhi Capitals in the second qualifier.

Talking about this season, Sunrisers didn’t get off to a good start at all. They lost the first 3 games. They lost to KKR, RCB and MI respectively.

However, David Warner’s team found a way to come out on top against Punjab Kings. Sunrisers restricted Punjab Kings to 120. They chased down the target in 18.4 overs to secured their first win of this season.

Big Blow for SRH as T Natarajan ruled out of remainder of IPL 2021

IPL 2021: T Natarajan to miss rest of the tourney with knee injury

SRH suffered a huge blow in the ongoing season of the IPL after T Natarajan has been ruled out of the tournament. SRH’s premier fast bowler was suffering from knee injury.

This is why he was sidelined from playing XI in a couple of matches. Now, it has been clear that the left-arm pacer is expected to miss the rest of the season.

According to Cricbuzz, the pacer’s knee has been really serious. The Indian pacer has been advised to skip the entire season of the Indian Premier League.

T Natarajan played 2 games for Sunrisers Hyderabad. After that, he warmed the bench against Mumbai Indians. He earned his maiden call-up to the Indian team with the help of superb performances in IPL 2020.

The majority of fans thought Natarajan was dropped. However, that was not the actual reason. Meanwhile, SRH’s team director Tom Moody opened up that T Natarajan was rested in order to manage his workload.

“Not dropped, rested – Managing his workload, we know it’s a long tournament and he’s had quite a lot of cricket already under his belt,” he had said.

What’s next for T Natarajan?

It remains to be seen if the knee problem has a big impact on the pacer’s chances for the England tour. He may miss India’s future tour of England if he fails to recover in time. So far, he played 1 Test, 2 ODIs, and 4 T20Is against Australia Down Under.
