Barcelona has reportedly taken the first step in the pursuit to sign Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard this summer transfer window.
Earlier this week, the Belgian stated that he wants to leave Chelsea amid all the managerial chaos that is taking place at the club. The Blues sacked manager Antonio Conte with a new name likely to be announced soon, but that has not stopped the Belgian forward to exercise his options about his next destination.
Champions League holders Real Madrid just allowed Portuguese winger Cristiano Ronaldo to leave the Santiago Bernabeu for Serie A champions Juventus this week and are now desperate on the lookout for his replacement. The most likely heir to the throne is Chelsea’s Eden Hazard who has been raising his game season after season in order to prove his talent.
It’s no doubt that Real Madrid are interested in signing Hazard, but now the Los Blancos have to worry about their most hated rivals Barcelona preparing a swoop for the 27-year-old.

Barcelona Bid For Hazard?
According to SPORT, Barcelona is also left in a tangle after legendary midfielder Andres Iniesta left the club this summer. The Catalonian club was keen on signing Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann but the Frenchman decided to pledge his loyalty to Diego Simeone. Therefore, Hazard is now the number one priority for Barcelona and representatives from Barcelona have already made contact with the player’s group at the World Cup and they have stated that Hazard wants to move away from Stamford Bridge.
The report also claimed that Hazard wants to win more titles before the end of his career and compete for the biggest honours in world football. The Chelsea talisman could realistically achieve that at Barcelona or decide to play in the Europa League with his current club next term.
There are possibilities of Hazard joining Barcelona because the Spanish champions are on the lookout for an attacking midfielder. The Belgian captain should fit in perfectly in attack with Coutinho, Suarez, and Messi for Barcelona.
