Barcelona has reportedly warned Inter Milan that they will not lower their asking price for Rafinha Alcantara, who is currently on loan at Inter.
Rafinha’s fitness issues had prevented him from making the desired impact at the Camp Nou. The Brazilian had always found his opportunities limited at Barcelona, as he missed most of his time due to injury and was always facing an uphill battle for playing time, in any case, considering the clubs wide range of options in midfield.
Rafinha graduated from the famed Barcelona academy, ‘La Masia’ but his progress has always been stunted by a lack of first-team action. He started his professional career with Barcelona after making his debut with the first team in 2011.
Soon after returning from an injury which kept him out for eight months, Barcelona gave him an opportunity to open the new chapter of his football career, by sending him on loan to Milan. Once the loan deal gets expire on June 30, 2018, Inter can buy the Brazilian for a fee of €35million plus add-ons.
Fabrizio Romano of Calcio Mercato now reports that Inter is impressed with the player and wants to sign him on a permanent basis in the upcoming summer. But it is said that La Liga Giants won’t budge from their asking price of €35 million that they had set when the loan agreement was made in January. The deal will also include a €3 Million in add-ons.
Even this is what Rafinha Alcantara wants. The Brazilian has admitted that he would love to stay in Italy. When quizzed about his future plans and his wish to join Barcelona, Rafinha Alcantara said Gazzetta dello Sport: “Of course, that’s what I want. I did not come here thinking that I will recover my form and go back to Barcelona. I want to stay here, then all else will depend on Inter.”

The Brazilian has made seven appearances and in his latest outing, he was the catalyst for victory over Sampdoria. Rafinha is currently on an international break and will be back in action on Wednesday when Brazil takes on Germany.
Rafinha has many reputable strengths, most notably his dribbling and his passing. The Brazilian is really comfortable with the ball on his feet and has really got a great sixth sense. He is a player with undoubted ability on the ball, with an engine that never stops and his versatility will surely make him finest of all.
However, his injury concerns are something to worry about. The Brazilian will surely be a good hit at Inter Milan.
