Tottenham Hotspurs have been given a transfer boost after Seria A striker’s asking value has been brought down. The Premier League outfit is currently second in the league table after a defeat against Liverpool. The Londoners were league leaders until their loss this week.
Jose Mourinho wasn’t happy neither with their loss at Anfield. Brazilian striker Roberto Firmino’s late header won the game for Klopp. Andy Robertson’s swinging ball into the box was well met by Firmino to seal all three points.
Son scored the only goal for the Tottenham Hotspurs, which went in vain. Lo Celso gave the beautiful through ball in the counter-attack, which was swept into the goal past Allison by Son. However, it was nullified by Firmino’s late effort inside the box.
The Reds are now three points clear of Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs are now looking for a striker in the January transfer window. Jose landed all his targets in the summer transfer window likes Gareth Bale and Sergio Regulion.
The London club did sign a backup for Harry Kane this summer from Portugal. The Portuguese manager signed Carlos Vinicius on loan from Benfica. The striker is yet to impress the fans and Jose in his spell at the White Hart Lane.
The club will need at least four world-class forwards to compete in the title competition in Premier League. Jose might once again go for the same striker, whom he missed out on last summer due to the higher asking price. Now, the striker’s value has come down and a good chance for Tottenham Hotspurs.
According to Goal, Napoli are willing to accept £13.5million to offload their striker Arkadiusz Milik when the transfer window reopens.
Tottenham chief in talks for Milik
Mourinho did enquire the Italian side to sign the Polish striker. But, the club demanded reportedly £25million for Milik, which was quite high for Tottenham. This is a good opportunity for Spurs to go again for the Polish international in the January window.
The Naples are now ready to accept £13.5million for the target man. This would be a good deal for Jose Mourinho, who is in search of a backup for Harry Kane. Milik could be a perfect striker for the Tottenham Hotspurs, after his display with Napoli.
Milik’s contract comes to an end next summer at Napoli. This means the club can make a pre-agreement for free after the turn of the year. This would probably be a bargain for the Premier League side in chase of the title.
Napoli has a number of strikers in their squad, which has made way for his exit. Milik had a chance to extend for five years or to leave the club, as per reports. Napoli did sign Victor Osimhen for a whooping price last summer from France.
In October Milik told SportoweFakty: “Napoli wanted to extend my contract for five years and gave me two choices: to sign or leave. I decided that I would like to try something else. I think this is the right time to try a new challenge. There has never been hostility on my part towards Napoli. I wanted to solve everything professionally.”
