Sarri Planning To Take Crucial Decision After Leicester Defeat

Chelsea lost to Leicester City in their recent Premier League fixture which sees them 11 points behind the league leaders, Liverpool.

The defeat at the hands of Leicester City was completely shocking for Sarri and his team. They had dominated the play for most of the time before Vardy scored the winner for the former Premier League champions. It also leaves Chelsea five points behind third-placed Tottenham Hotspur.

Chelsea had maintained an unbeaten run before Tottenham Hotspur drubbed them 3-1. It was Chelsea’s first defeat in the league since Sarri took over the reign in the summer. Their previous defeat, which was against Leicester City, was Chelsea’s first home defeat this season.

Sarri needs to sort out the problem and steady the team before things further worsen. As a result, Sarri said he wants to meet players individually and talk. He said, (via Skysports) “Of course, we will prepare a video about the match. For every match, we prepare a video after the match. We will prepare individual videos, the individual mistakes. I want to speak with the group first of all, then I want to speak with three, four, five players. I don’t know how many at the moment.”

Chelsea and Sarri will be hoping for a victory against Watford on tomorrow. They desperately need a win at the moment and nothing less than a victory will help keep their top-four position. Arsenal also have 37 points and hence, the more Chelsea struggle, the more they go down the table.

What does Sarri need to do help Chelsea get back to their best? Will meeting with individual do it? Should Chelsea sign players in the January transfer window? Who all do you think Chelsea should sign in January to stay in the title race? Are the misfiring attackers the reason behind Chelsea’s slump in form?

Author’s Take

Sarri should solve the problems at the earliest. The quicker they are, the better the result would be. Chelsea already have a world class team and if Sarri thinks they need more resources they can sign players in the January transfer window.
