Salary of IPL players in comparison with their current PSL salary

Indian Premier League 2021 tournament got off to a flying start as expected in India amidst the COVID-19 outbreak in the name of second-wave. However, players are now getting used to the bio-bubble life with regular PCR tests. Some players did fly back to their respective countries in fear of the second wave of coronavirus and bio-bubble life.

Chennai Super Kings are topping the league table with maximum points and net run rate. However, Royal Challengers Bangalore remains the unbeaten side so far this season. Virat Kohli-led side is in brilliant form and team chemistry has worked out for them this term.

While defending champions Mumbai Indians are not performing to the expectations. The Blue and gold brigade lost a tight encounter against Delhi Capitals earlier this week. Rohit Sharma’s side will be geared up to face Punjab Kings at Chennai. The franchise from Mumbai is yet to settle down at Chennai pitch and perform as a unit.

However, the champions’ side tends to come back stronger in a big tournament like IPL as seen in the past. Mumbai Indians have done this several times in the past and will be hoping to deliver the same. Although, Rohit’s side is fourth in the table with four points from four games.

How much do IPL players earn in PSL?

Pakistan Super League is not a popular T20 tournament around the globe, but has its own set of fan following and charm. PSL 2021 got postponed due to coronavirus pandemic second wave across the world. The league was initially started in the year 2015 with five franchisees and now has six in the league.

The tourney took place in February of this year as usual but was later postponed to June with an increase in the number of cases in the country. A lot of star players like Rashid Khan, David Miller, Chris Lynn participate in this T20 festival conducted in Pakistan. However, these players don’t earn the same salary as they get in IPL.

Rashid Khan

The Afghanistan leggie is famous and plays in almost all T20 tournaments around the world. He is also an expensive player in PSL with a salary of INR 1.25 crore at Lahore Qalandars.
