Some players did fly back to their respective countries in fear of the second wave of coronavirus and bio-bubble life.
Chennai Super Kings are topping the league table with maximum points and net run rate. However, Royal Challengers Bangalore remains the unbeaten side so far this season. Virat Kohli-led side is in brilliant form and team chemistry has worked out for them this term.
While defending champions Mumbai Indians are not performing to the expectations. The Blue and gold brigade lost a tight encounter against Delhi Capitals earlier this week. Rohit Sharma’s side will be geared up to face Punjab Kings at Chennai. The franchise from Mumbai is yet to settle down at Chennai pitch and perform as a unit.
However, the champions’ side tends to come back stronger in a big tournament like IPL as seen in the past. Mumbai Indians have done this several times in the past and will be hoping to deliver the same. Although, Rohit’s side is fourth in the table with four points from four games.
