The FIFA 2018 player ratings have now disclosed and as expected, the Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo leads the ratings this time as well. His exceptional performance in the last season is the reason why he is leading the FIFA ratings.
The Portuguese International Captain has a rating of 94 which is more than the La Liga stars Messi and Neymar who are considered among the current best players in the world.
The debate for the best still goes on:
Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro yet again comes under the limelight. He has been named the highest-rated player in FIFA 18 as EA Sports completed their unveiling. The Real Madrid star looks set to claim a fifth Ballon d’Or and will appear on the cover of this year’s game
His pace statistic has improved from 92 to 93, his dribbling has increased from 91 to 92, his shot power is up one point to 93, and his physicality has improved from 80 to 81.
However, his passing has dropped from 81 to 80, and his defense is down a point to 32.
It has been an immaculate year for the Portuguese captain winning the 12th champions league for the Galacticos and winning the Spanish league after a gap of 5 years.
AGE IS JUST A NUMBER:
At 32 it seemed like he was getting far from his prime with only 2 goals in the group stages of the champions league. He miraculously turned that all around with 5 goals against Bayern Munich over the course of two legs, a hat-trick against their Local rivals in the semi finals and a brace against the old lady in the final game. He ended up being the leading scorer of the champions league.
Champions League Celebration
BECOMING THE 2ND CLUB CAPTAIN:
Real Madrid unveiled their four captains alongside the club president Florentino Perez. Ronaldo has been named the second club captain after Ramos. His stats for Madrid keep on impressing us and he never looks like he’ll stop scoring. He has scored more than 400 goals for his club averaging more than 1 goal per game which is pretty phenomenal.
Ronaldo is currently suspended for 5 domestic games for shoving the referee in the Classico but he’s eligible to play in the champions league.
It was clearly Ronaldo’s year. Guiding Madrid to Champions league and La Liga success and helping Portugal through the Confederations cup. He’s the top scorer in World Cup Qualification with 14 goals, three ahead of Lewandowski. After losing to Messi four times consecutively, it never looked like he was ever going to make it level but winning it 3 times in the last 4 years he has certainly closed the gap and he looks favorite to win the Ballon d’Or this time. His rating was clearly deserved this time.
