Rishabh Pant advice helps Axar Patel dismiss Dinesh Karthik


Delhi Capitals are doing quite well under the leadership of young captain Rishabh Pant. The youngster had led the team ever so well in the ongoing season of the IPL.

They played 6 games this season wherein they bagged four wins but lost 2 games. Pant-led team earned a Net Run Rate of +0.269 and secured 8 points so far.

Currently, they are taking on Kolkata Knight Riders at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. DC captain Rishabh Pant won the toss and opted to bowl first.

Delhi Capitals’ bowlers contained the Knight Riders’ batsmen quite well. Even after too much pressure from DC bowlers, KKR somehow found a way to post 154/6 in their allotted quota of 20 overs.

Andre Russell once again flexed his muscles to provide a sensational lift for KKR in the fag end of the overs. The Caribbean top-scored with a quickfire 45 off 27 balls. The West Indies international was the pick of the batsmen for KKR.

His innings was studded with 2 fours and 4 sixes at a strike rate of 166.67. On the other hand, Lalit Yadav was the best bowler for DC as he took 3 wickets, giving away 13 runs in 3 overs.

There is no doubt that Pant is a very good entertainer on the field. His witty one-liners behind the stumps are there for everyone to see in the IPL. He came up with yet another hilarious words behind the stumps.

The incident took place when Dinesh Karthik tried to sweep off Axar Patel’s bowling. Meanwhile, Pant had advised Patel about it and asked him to keep it away from the batsman’s hitting zone- “YE PEHLE HI SWEEP MARNE BAITHE HAI, DOOR SE MARNE DE.” Pant’s important tip helped Axar as he took the wicket of Karthik.
