The Paris Saint-Germain star has attracted interest from top clubs from Europe and Chelsea are the latest club to join the long list.
Adrien Rabiot is in the final year of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain and talks over a new deal has not been so progressive if the reports are to be believed. The 23-year-old could be leaving for free if the Ligue 1 champions do not manage to tie him to a new contract or sell him in January.
The central midfielder has recently attracted interest from the likes of Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Manchester City and Liverpool. English Premier League club Chelsea has also joined the race for the Frenchman now.
Rabiot came through the ranks of PSG academy before being promoted to the senior side by Carlo Ancelotti in 2012. In the August of the same year, he went on to make his debut for the club in the league. However, in January 2013, he was loaned to Toulouse, where he scored his first professional goal.
The Frenchman looked like he was ready to leave when his mother acted as an advisor during contract negotiations, but Rabiot remained at the France capital.
A similar situation has now emerged as the 23-year-old seems to be okay with his contract running down next summer. There is already a string of teams wanting to add the player to their ranks. Once a player enters into the last six months of his contract, he is eligible to sign a pre-contract with any other club leaving PSG in a much difficult situation.
Rabiot is one of the best players in his position at the moment and he is just 23-years-old. Losing him for free or cheaper than his value will be a huge blow for Paris Saint-Germain. Meanwhile, the club who convinces to join them will be getting a steal.
