Real Madrid are planning a double swoop for superstars worth $602 million

It’s only 4 games into the new season and despite having a perfect record, Real Madrid are already planning for next season by looking at star players.

Real Madrid are planning a double swoop for PSG superstars Neymar and Kylian Mbappe who are reportedly worth $602 million. The Los Blancos reportedly have $602m to spend as president Florentino Perez plots his next Galactico arrival. Los Blancos have been linked with blockbuster swoops for both Paris Saint-Germain superstars Kylian Mbappe and Neymar.

The huge Madrid transfer pot was believed to have been put aside to try and bring in summer recruits. The La Liga giants were unable to bring either forward to the club to fill the void left by Cristiano Ronaldo’s $180.5m departure to Juventus. But they are still believed to hold a strong interest in the pair and could mount a huge move to try and bring one of them to the Spanish capital.

And the huge cost of transforming their home could leave them in a “delicate position moving forward when it comes to making big signings,” according to AS.

They also have a number of payment obligations to make regarding the player, with the Spanish publication stating: “The club has pledged the guarantee of the payment of its obligations with different financiers and other creditors, the sponsorship contract until 2018-19”.

Author’s Take:

I think it might not be the wisest decision to go for both Neymar and Mbappe. First, they have their stadium renovation plans in place which might affect their availability of funds. Second, Neymar and Mbappe both will undoubtedly be amazing for Madrid but the signature of both will cause FFP rules to cause trouble to future transfers and will force them to sell their players who are currently important.

Hence, they should go for only one, preferably Mbappe and not both. He is only 19 and will be a much better long-term option for them.
