Rashmika Mandanna names her favourite cricketer

Popular South Indian actress Rashmika Mandanna became the talk of the town after she revealed her favourite IPL franchise. To be frank, everyone expected her to say, MI or CSK.

But she surprised all of us by saying Royal Challengers Bangalore indirectly. Yes, she didn’t say the club’s name but told the RCB’s famous motto, saying: “Ee Saala Cup Namde”.

The popular phrase roughly translates to “This time the cup is ours”. She revealed her favourite franchise during a social media interaction with fans before the now-suspended cash-rich IPL.

This has been the Bangalore-based club’s slogan since the start of the Indian Premier League. RCB reached the IPL final on 3 occasions but sadly, they didn’t win even once.

Rashmika is one of the beautiful actresses in the South film industry. The popular actress has starred in Kannada, Telugu, and Tamil in her cinematic career. The 24-year-old actress has a huge fan following in India.

She also made her Kollywood (Tamil) debut with Sulthan opposite Karthi. The film was directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan. However, she hasn’t stepped into the Bollywood film industry.

One of her fans asked her to name her favorite cricketer. While everyone expected her to say, Virat Kohl or Rohit Sharma, she picked former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Rashmika is a big fan of MS Dhoni and has been following the legend for a long time. MS Dhoni is the only captain to win 3 ICC trophies in the history of cricket.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni won ICC T20 World Cup in 2007. After that, he won ICC ODI World Cup in 2011 and then the ICC Champions Trophy in 2013.

Meanwhile, Rashmika Mandanna revealed why she admires Captain Cool. She hailed Dhoni for his batting, captaincy and wicketkeeping and went on to say, “Dhoni is my hero.”

“Dhoni batting, captaincy, wicket keeping … that means he will fall and die … he is a master class player. Dhoni is my hero,” quoted by Rashmika in an interactive chat.
