Rashid Khan reveals MS Dhoni advice
The 22-year-old Afghan leggie revealed one of his interactions with former Indian captain MS Dhoni. He opened up the former Indian legend’s advice on the YouTube show Cricast.
During the show, the Afghanistan international lauded MS Dhoni as one of the best captains and wicketkeepers. The leg-break bowler shared how MS Dhoni advised him to be very careful while fielding.
This is because being careless and aggressive on the field may lead to injury. Rashid also shared that MS Dhoni shares the same advice to Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja.
“Every time after our matches, the discussions that I have with him has helped me. Last time he told me ‘You have to be careful while fielding, you slide, throw the ball when it is not necessary, you get aggressive.”
“Because there is only one Rashid and people want to see you more, what will happen if you get injured? Keep this in mind, I tell (Ravindra) Jadeja the same thing’,” said Rashid Khan.
Meanwhile, the second leg of the cash-rich IPL will resume in the UAE on September 19. Rashid Khan will look to continue his good form in the second leg to help the Sunrisers.
