France midfielder Adrien Rabiot says he would ‘love’ to play in the Premier League – and name dropped Liverpool as a potential destination.
The 22-year-old is one of the brightest prospects in French football and has cemented a place in the Paris Saint Germain team as of late with some excellent displays.
As reported by Daily Mail, Rabiot has admitted that he grew up supporting Liverpool.
A NEW CHALLENGE
Rabiot, 22, has started every match for PSG this season and is under contract until 2019.
He indicated that he would like to play abroad in future, having come close to joining Roma three years ago and also been linked with Arsenal and Tottenham.
And speaking while on international duty with France, Rabiot claims that he could leave France to ply his trade elsewhere one day, to have a new challenge.
“I think I would like to experience something else [outside Ligue 1],” said the 22-year-old.
“There are a lot of very good championships, it’s also very rewarding to go elsewhere.”
A MOVE TO PREMIER LEAGUE?
Rabiot has been a regular for PSG this season so far, starting all 11 matches.
But despite being part of a team that improved in the summer with additions of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, Rabiot has admitted he would welcome a move to the English top flight.
The 22-year-old is said to have attracted interest from in recent years.
However, Rabiot admitted that he had grew up supporting Liverpool and told RMC radio before the international qualifier, “I would love to play in the Premier League. There’s not necessarily any club in particular, even though when I was young I was a big Liverpool fan.”
DEVELOPED AS A BETTER PLAYER
22 year old France international has admitted that he has continued to develop as a player, adding that he wanted to “be more present in front of goal, to score more and to complete more passes.”
He added: “For a box-to-box midfielder, it’s essential to be decisive. I could also make progress in terms of my aerial game in front of goal. There are a lot of things, but I feel that I’m making progress.”
"I was very fond of Liverpool."

Rabiot has scored 19 goals in 167 appearances for PSG since breaking into the first-team back in 2012 but the 22-year-old has consistently been linked with a move to England in recent seasons. Rabiot’s comments come amid the ongoing uncertainty surrounding Emre Can’s Liverpool future. The Germany international is stalling on signing a new deal at Anfield and Juventus are eager to snap him up either in January or next summer. Rabiot would prove expensive but is highly impressive young player and the Reds could potentially need a new midfielder should Can leave.
