The trophyless club won all three of their matches. They first miraculously beat Manchester City by 1-0 and they followed the same scoreline in their other two matches.
Perhaps that just goes on to show the fluke show of Tottenham Hotspur that has them at top of the table right now. However, the easy matches for Spurs will fade away as the tougher matches do not seem very distant.
But at the other end, Arsenal has had the beating of their life. They currently sit at the bottommost part of the table after losing the first three matches consecutively.
That just goes on to show how poor the former Invinsibles have just been. These are the early signs for Gunners and if they do not sack Arteta, then the former Invinsibles will yet again finish below the Invisibles ‘Tottenham Hotspur’.
Arsenal and Spurs to battle out for Yves Bissouma
According to a recent report from football.london, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur will battle out for the signature of Yves Bissouma. The report suggests that Yves Bissouma is close to joining Tottenham Hotspur.
However the Mali International has been a sensation ever since joining the Premier League. The 24-year-old joined Brighton in the summer window of 2018 from Lille. Since then, he has been an integral part of that Brighton midfield.
Yves Bissouma has so far played in all three matches for Brighton this season. He has been an important piece of the Seagulls winning the two matches so far. Nevertheless, he has featured in 98 games for Brighton in all competitions, which shows he comes with ample experience.
It is not quite sure why a player as ambitious as Bissouma would join Tottenham Hotspur. He would literally not win a trophy there. However, at the other end, Arsenal still won a trophy in their worst period of time recently. And no doubt Arsenal would still win more trophies than Tottenham Hotspur even by doing pathetic in the Premier league.
However, Arsenal also has the advantage of negotiations over Tottenham Hotspur since the Gunners just signed Ben White. But it is not quite sure if Brighton would want to sell him. The Seagulls are in no financial pressure whatsoever after selling Ben White for £50 million. But some reports suggest that Brighton could agree to sell him for £40 million.
Manchester United also keen on him
Manchester United is also keen to bring him, like the two clubs above. The only place that the Red Devils are lacking is the midfield. They lack a young and dynamic midfielder. And hence Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to add Bissouma.
However, there is very minimal time left for a deal. In fact, there are only a few hours left for the closure of the transfer window. The clubs have to move faster to conclude the deal.
