Premier League Preview Match-day 38

The Penultimate matchday in the Premier League pastors prophecy to challenge the practicality of a prosperous campaign led by the Pioneers of Pep Guardiola.

A Champions League spot is still up for grabs as Liverpool would like to qualify in a conventional manner while the Blues need a favor from Brighton. Swansea requires a miracle and will need to play with freedom at Liberty, Adios to Arsene from Arsenal as he along with millions around the world move on from the Premier League to the Premier Cup (World Cup) in the summer.

Swansea City vs Stoke City

Tale of the Tape: Cometh the end of the road for two very different clubs in ideologies but similar in the mentality that was solely based on survival this season. Swansea fed of Carvalhal’s charisma in the winter after a dismal start to the campaign whereas Stoke looked the shadow of a side it was under Tony Pulis, Mark Hughes tried to take the club forward but the steel that solidified Stoke in the past was slowly removed from its structure. Swansea will need a miracle not just in Liberty but also at St Mary’s to make a meal of it which is highly unlikely.

Prediction: Swans to win by a respectable margin but not 9-0

Player Focus: Tammy Abraham

Southampton vs Manchester City

Tale of the Tape: Southampton won a pivotal battle in midweek which more or less decided the fate of their war for survival this season. Saints still need to maintain sanity at home against Sane and company who will be tuning up the band in a celebratory mood. The synopsis for Southampton is simple, win, draw or lose with respectability to remain relevant in this League.

Prediction: Saints would be motivated to at least take a point from the Champions

Player Focus: Charlie Austin

Huddersfield Town vs Arsenal

Tale of the Tape: And the day finally arrives when Arsenal say adios to Arsene whose affluent approach towards artistic football industrialized the club that was left under apprehension during the age of empires. Arsene’s anatomy only laid stress on acquiring excellence on the field which compromised success in the long run but it has certainly created a purposeful platform for the incoming regime. Huddersfield’s fairytale run set to continue under their wonderful manager whose mutation is linking optimism with belief.

Prediction: Wenger out with a win

Player Focus: Alexandre Lacazette

Liverpool vs Brighton and Hove Albion

Tale of the Tape: The sheer delight in the Champions League has slowed down Liverpool considerably in the Premier League failing to win their last 3 games and not closing the race for top four in the process. Mohamed Salah has been quiet, maybe he is saving the magic for Real Madrid later this month. Liverpool will have to avoid a defeat against Brighton who has taken out the boisterous opposition in the past, to safeguard their Champions League berth next season.

Prediction: Liverpool to qualify for the Champions League in a conventional manner

Player Focus: Mohamed Salah

Newcastle United vs Chelsea

Tale of the Tape: It has been a disappointing season for the former Champions where a calculative Conte kept losing control of Chelsea from time to time. Fielding fringe players from the start produced an unfavorable result in midweek putting their fate in other’s hands which can be frustrating for the fans. As it is they needed a favor from Brighton, but a win at Anfield is a too bigger mountain to climb for the seagulls. The Tyneside experienced a roller coaster ride under Rafa this season who begged for reinforcements throughout the campaign, the home fans would like to finish off on a high.

Prediction: Chelsea to win but miss out on Europe

Player Focus: Eden Hazard
