While speaking to Sky Sport Italia after winning the Champions League game, Paulo Dybala hinted at signing a new deal with Juventus. He said, “I think there will be a new meeting this week. The directors have changed, so we have started from the beginning. We hope to reach a happy conclusion, I hope there will be good news soon.”
The 27-year-old is confident over reaching a new deal with Juventus. Dybala has been brought back in the plans at the club after the departure of superstar footballer Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese international was not happy with the ambition of the club and hence he decided to move away.
Paulo Dybala was largely out of the first-team plans following Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival in 2018. However, he was still given chances by the manager but not in his prefered position. Paulo Dybala was often played out of position by the manager.
During the last season, Dybala only managed around 26 appearances in all competitions. He featured only in 20 games in Serie A last season. Various clubs across Europe were looking to move for him. Even Dybala thought that he would be leaving Juventus.
But a sudden change of plans has brought Paulo Dybala into the mix. After the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo to Manchester United, Juventus expect Dybala to step up and replace the 36-year-old.

Paulo Dybala has only one year left on his current contract. He would become a free agent in the next summer if in case he is not tied down by Juventus.
But the Italian giants would not want to lose another of their stars, that too for free. However, the talks are going smoothly between the player and the club. Even the Argentina international is looking to extend his stay with Juventus. And a deal could be reached in the coming weeks.
