Paris Saint Germain are moving quickly and fast to add reinforcements to their side. The French club has started off absolutely brilliantly in this summer transfer window and are slowly creating a monster side.
PSG have already signed up experienced Real Madrid centre back Sergio Ramos. Ramos’s expertise in the UEFA Champions League will come in handy for them on the continental stage.
Moreover, Paris Saint Germain have also signed Inter Milan right back Achraf Hakimi. Hakimi is one of the brightest young prospects in Europe right now and it is a great deal. Having spent over £60 million on Hakimi is a big statement from PSG.
And finally, yet another young player to add to their ranks is none other than Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. The giant goalkeeper was the man of the tournament at the UEFA Euros and was absolutely splendid.
Although it’s a little harsh on current goalkeeper Keylor Navas who hasn’t done much wrong, it is clear that Paris Saint Germain are focused on their future at the moment. And Donnarumma, who is one of the best goalkeepers in the world, is definitely the future.
Additionally, the club has profited from the services of former Liverpool midfielder Gini Wijnaldum, who joins on a free transfer. The motive for Paris Saint Germain is clear this season- to win the UEFA Champions League and make amends from the previous campaigns.
Paul Pogba claims spotlight after controversial comments on PSG
Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba continues to be linked with PSG. The French midfielder is the last piece in the puzzle for PSG. They want him at the heart of the midfield with Marco Verratti.
However, Paul Pogba in the past has made some comments about PSG, which did not sit well with the club’s fans. For one, Pogba’s mother made some insensitive statements saying she didn’t want Pogba in Paris.
In response, the PSG supporters held a giant banner at the Parc des Princes to show their anger: “Pogba, you should listen to your mother. She doesn’t want you here. Neither do we!”
In addition, Paul Pogba later had explained that both his parents were Olympique Marseille fans and a move to PSG would be unlikely for him.
“I’m sure that I wouldn’t play club football at the Parc des. Additionally, I’m not attracted to that because my father and mother were fans of Marseille, so Paris doesn’t really fit into my plans.”
Paul Pogba’s future at Manchester United remains a constant source of concern for Ole Gunnar Solskjær. Ole Gunnar Solskjær has said that talks are going on with Paul Pogba’s representatives. United are trying their level best to keep him.
“There’s always speculation about Paul, the talks between Paul and his representatives. I’m not in the detail of every single one, I’ve got nothing to say really, about that.”
