Not Kohli, Brian Lara picks this Indian batsman in his all time limited overs eleven

The former West Indies legend has recently announced that this Indian batsman would best fit his team of playing eleven.

Although the Indian skipper, Virat Kohli has been the man of the moment quite lately owing to his magnificence in performance, yet there is another Indian batsman who simply cannot be overshadowed by anyone else. He has been scoring consistently on a regular basis for the team and has helped the team go over the line in many important occasions. He is none other than the opening batsman for the men in blue, Rohit Sharma.

There is absolutely no need to put any extra effort to describe this individual as he lets his willow to do the talking. His numbers speak volumes about how well he has been executing his duties on the field, making him qualify as a captain of the side in the regular skipper’s absence.

His ease of scoring runs in the white ball format has also earned him the title of “Rohitman”. He hit a brilliant century in the recently concluded limited overs match against the Windies after a superb show in the One dayers against them as well.

He told that the number of runs amassed by him clearly speaks about his form that makes him the number one batsman in the world at the moment undoubtedly.

His ability to tackle any bowler irrespective of the conditions makes him a highly suitable player into any cricketer’s playing eleven list. The playing eleven list doesn’t necessarily mean of his own country only but also the World eleven and his favourite list of eleven players – Lara further added.

“You look at the guy’s numbers in the 50-overs and T20 game, he is the number one batsman in the world in terms of runs. He is up there with the very best and hence, that’s not even a question. Rohit Sharma is going to be in any limited-overs team that anyone wants to pick, not just India, but even in the World XI, he’ll be up there with them.”
