Chennai Super Kings had a thumping win over Rajasthan Royals in the 12th IPL game at Wankhede. The Royals failed to chase down CSK’s target of 189 in 20 overs. After losing key players due to injuries, Rajasthan Royals are looking weakened especially in their middle order.
The Rajasthan-based franchise couldn’t stop the fall of wickets at regular intervals this game, which took the game away from them. The batsmen fell prey to CSK’s spin attack, which comprises of Ravindra Jadeja and Moeen Ali. Both spinners were on top and delivered a fine performance.
However, the game had lot of interesting moments which did trend in social media platforms. Including Ravindra Jadeja’s special celebration after managing four catches in the game and picking up two crucial wickets as well. Commentator Harsha Bhogle got the limelight as well in this encounter.
Harsha Bhogle frustration over the perspective of Mankads
The veteran commentor showed his frustration over voice after noticing an incident during the first innings. This incident took place when Bangladeshi pacer Mustafizur Rahman’s delivery was adjudged as no-ball by the tv umpire. However, while watching the reply, CSK star DJ Bravo was well outside of the crease at non-striker end.
Although, Mustafizur’s delivery was a clear No-Ball, but could have been a clear run out at the other end. Harsha Bhogle did speak out on this perspective favouring the batsmen under the name of ‘spirit of the game’. He argued, “Look where Bravo is. That is why I believe you’re entirely within your rights…it should almost be mandatory in team meetings to say, run him out. All this talk about not being in the spirit of the game is so much nonsense.”
