Rana gifts six runs to Jadeja with catch and drop action on the last ball


Kolkata Knight Riders star opener Nitish Rana gifted six runs on the last ball with easy catch drop incident against Chennai Super Kings. Wednesday IPL 2021 action is double header entertainment for the fans and CSK batsmen did not disappoint.

CSK put mammoth 220/3(20) target in front of Kolkata Knight Riders batting first. Openers Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis run the show and guided their team past 200 easily.

KKR bowlers failed to gain any momentum in this match, managed to achieve only three wickets. It could have different numbers if not for dropped catches. Leg spinner Varun Chakravarthy was only decent figure for KKR who managed to keep economy rate below 7.

In return CSK bowlers started game with high morale. In powerplay they managed to get 5 wicktes and gave away only 35 runs. Deepak Chahar was hero once again with 4 wickets in his first 3 overs. Ravindra Jadeja was once again high flying with fantastic catch in 4th over.

Rana gifts easy six to Jadeja on last ball:

Chennai Super Kings were on high scoring target before entering last over, crossed 200 mark already. But Pat Cummins was handed last over to restrict du Plessis and Jadeja in the end. But South African batsman had two more sixes and one run in first five balls.

On the last ball Ravindra Jadeja was on the strike, facing his first ball of the evening. Cummins dropped the ball in Jadeja’s slot and star all-rounder had a sky touching shot in the air. Many thought it was a six on the mid on but it wasn’t long enough. Nithis Rana was under the catch and it was any easy one. But KKR opener missed it as ball bounced off from his hand and over to boudary ropes to six.

Jadeja maintained strike rate of 600(6 runs in 1 ball). His fans shared posted picture of stock market high rates.
