In a recent interview, Neymar broke down narrating incidents of his early days at Barcelona and how Leo Messi helped him during that phase
Neymar jr. sealed his move to Barcelona in the summer of 2013 from his boyhood club Santos. He paired up with Messi and Suarez to form the legendary “MSN”. This trio went on to become one of Europe’s deadliest attacking fronts. MSN lasted for four years until Neymar parted his ways to join PSG. The three players lined up together for 148 matches sharing 111 goals and 51 assists. This formidable attacking force led Barca to their treble haul in 2015.
The Brazilian became quite emotional during an interview with Globo Esporte sharing memories of his time at Barcelona. Neymar was shy and hence, did not vibe with his teammates from the beginning itself. He also expressed how Messi helped him out in his time at Camp Nou. His words were of acknowledgement to the Barcelona captain for his support towards him.
Neymar narrated the incident with teary eyes.

“At the time when I needed the most support, the man on the team, the best in the world, came and gave me love.”
Leo asked Neymar to stay comfortable just like he was back in Santos. He urged him not to shy or fear anyone at the club. Messi convinced the Brazilian that all of them will help him through this.
Neymar to Barcelona: A rumor or a possibility
Paris Saint-Germain signed Neymar in 2017 for a world record transfer fee of $248 million. The transfer put the fans at awe but Barcelona yielded because the French champs triggered the release clause. Neymar was the natural heir to Messi’s throne at Camp Nou and hence it was shocking. Pundits describe his urge to win the Balon Dor made him do the unexpected. Neymar wanted his proclamation rather than playing second fiddle to Messi.
But the Argentine did express his views over Neymar’s possible return to the Catalunya outfit with Marca in 2018. Messi would love the thought of the Brazilian International rejoining the club again. He also said his team will welcome Neymar heartily without any issues.
Speculations are still active about the 28-year-old’s return to Barcelona. Some news have offered insights about the possible deal. The eagerness of the Brazilian also matters as he is willing to take a paycut for the predicted return.
The matter has drawn considerable concern with the Ligue 1 cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. Paris Saint Germain have been crowned as the champions and Mbappe won the golden boot. His past three seasons at the French capital has been marred with injuries and hate from the club’s fanbase. Though Neymar has earned a lot from this deal, he featured in just 80 games out of 155. This shows that the player has missed almost half of his playtime yearning to injury blows. There lies a doubt if he’ll continue at his current club for the next season.
