Emery Addresses The Press-
Speaking at his debut presser in England, Emery gave us an insight of what he plans to transition and bring at the Emirates with his philosophy, ‘My idea is to be a protagonist for all of the match, we will play against all the teams with this personality, I think the history here is a team who loves playing with possession of the ball. I like this personality, I like playing with the ball, if you don’t have possession, and I want a squad who are very, very intensive with pressing. Two things very important to be protagonist: possession and pressing when you don’t have the ball.”
Emery added that he is extremely excited to be taking up a new job as he is looking forward to working with a new bunch of players, “I ‘m very excited to be given the responsibility to start this important new chapter in Arsenal’s history. I am thrilled to be joining one of the great clubs in the game. Arsenal is known and loved throughout the world for its style of play, its commitment to young players, the fantastic stadium, and the way the club is run. I’m excited about what we can do together and I look forward to giving everyone who loves Arsenal some special moments and memories.”
It will certainly be a breath of fresh air at Arsenal as they will have a new manager in over 22 years. Emery is an intriguing prospect and will find himself competing against the best and most challenging teams in the continent.
