Mumbai Indians dominated the IPL 2020 season at the United Arab Emirates with ease. They defeated Delhi Capitals in the final to become the champions. Moreover, MI defended the title for the first time in history to win their fifth trophy in their remarkable journey.

Mumbai Indians consultant tested positive
Mumbai Indians suffered a big blow ahead of IPL 2021 as one of their consultants has been tested positive for COVID-19. MI scout and wicketkeeping consultant Kiran More contracted the virus infection. The franchise confirmed the news on their official Twitter handle.
Furthermore, MI added that the former Indian Kiran More is following the mandatory protocols. “Mumbai Indians’ scout and wicket keeping consultant Mr. Kiran More has tested positive for Covid-19,” read the statement from Mumbai Indians.
“Mr. More is currently asymptomatic and has been isolated. Mumbai Indians and Kiran More have followed all the BCCI health guidelines. The MI medical team will continue to monitor Mr More’s health and abide by the BCCI protocols.”

Can Mumbai Indians defend the title?
Mumbai Indians announced their arrival when they won the title by beating Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2013 season. This was Rohit Sharma’s first title as MI captain. The team continued to haunt the teams in IPL 2015 season as well.
Rohit Sharma’s team once again defeated Chennai Super Kings to lift their second title. After that, they defeated Rising Pune Supergiants to lift their third title. Mumbai Indians made it to the finals in the 2019 season where they locked horns with CSK in the final.
MI comprehensively defeated CSK to win their fourth title. With this, they also became the most successful team in IPL history. Earlier, Chennai Super Kings won the 2018 edition to lift their third trophy in the Indian Premier League.
However, MI went one more step ahead as they defeated Delhi Capitals in the 2020 final to lift their 5th trophy.
