The striker is wanted by top European teams and looks on his way out of San Siro.
Mauro Icardi’s future is hot topic of discussion. The Inter Milan striker is finding his way out of San Siro. His agent and wife Wanda Nara has been publicly criticizing Inter and it’s transfer policy. This has led to an infamous fallout between Icardi and Inter. Inter have scrapped him off from captaincy. The likes of Real Madrid, Manchester United and Juventus are all keen to sign Icardi. It seems Icardi have been offered huge contract to leave Inter.
Mauro Icardi has reportedly been offered a huge €11m contract by Napoli to make him Serie A’s second highest paid player. The controversial Argentinian looks set to depart Inter Milan at the end of the season after a high-profile fall-out at the San Siro. Icardi was recently stripped of the captaincy following a contract dispute with Premier League clubs Manchester United and Chelsea understood to be interested in acquiring his services. European giants Real Madrid and Juventus are also considering a move – but Napoli have pulled the trigger with a massive offer. They are said to have tabled an offer of €9m plus €2m in bonuses based on goals and team success to try and tempt Icardi to the club.
The contract would mean only Cristiano Ronaldo is paid more in Italian football and would be the marquee signing club bosses believe can see Carlo Ancelotti close the gap on dominant Juventus. Juve, however, are reportedly set to respond with a bigger offer of their own – and they may have the upper hand with Inter said to prefer selling him to the Turin side rather than Napoli.
Icardi’s dealings are looking after by his controversial wife and agent Wanda Nara. The ex-wife of Icardi’s former Sampdoria team-mate Maxi Lopez, she reportedly demanded a £170,000-a-week new deal for her husband leading to the contract dispute.
There have also been reports in Spain that Real Madrid could end their interest as they are unwilling to deal with Nara’s demands. It now appears he could be set to have his demands met in a bidding war within Italy, although Manchester United and Chelsea could still have chance to try and tempt him to the Premier League in the summer. United see Icardi as a potential replacement for Romelu Lukaku, who could head in the opposite direction to the San Siro.
One thing that will definitely happen is Icardi leaving San Siro. However where will he go still remains a mystery. Given the fact that he is leaving, he won’t be coy of offers coming for him. However, that would also mean a lot of bidding war.
