BREAKING: Match Winner to be included in the squad ahead of 3rd Test

Despite having a 1-0 Lead in the First Test in Adelaide, India are staring down at defeat as they end the Day 4 of the second Test Match at 112/5 still; needing a massive 175 runs to win. Rishabh Pant (9* from 19 balls) and Hanuma Vihari(24* from 58 balls) are the overnight unbeaten bastmen at stumps. India have missed a seam bowling all rounder and as a result the tail has looked longer for Team India.According to reports, seam bowling allrounder Hardik Pandya is set to join Team India before the Boxing Day Test in MCG.

Pandya was out injured for all these months,as he suffered an side strain in the match against Pakistan in the Asia Cup, which kept him out of the field for all these months. Pandya is currently playing a Ranji Trophy game for his Team Baroda. He bowled brilliantly in the match against Mumbai and picked up 6 wickets for his team. Earlier, he also scored 73 from 137 balls with the bat. His Innings consisted of eight fours and a six .

According to reports from The Indian Express selector Sarandeep Singh was present at The Wankhede Stadium and witnessed the performance of the all rounder. He also had a conversation with Pandya after the day’s play. It was reported that Hardik Pandya has to take a call on whether he would like to join the Indian Team ahead of the 3rd Test. It seems that the Indian Team management is also keen to include him in the squad as soon as he is match fit.

“I’m very excited. I’m done resting, being away from the game for so long. I wanted to come back smart and in the right way. I’m quite happy that I’m finally fit and ready to play cricket. I’m coming back after three months, I just want to express myself, play my best cricket and enjoy myself.” Hardik Pandya told Times Of India on the eve of the match.
