Marcus Rashford hails the return of both Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic as the Red Devils get ready for a tough December.
The Premier League giants recently beat Watford 4-2 in mid-week and the England international has hailed the return of the two top players, with a lot of fixtures coming up in the following month. In a recent interview, Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has acknowledged the return of midfielder Paul Pogba and super-striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic to the squad, as the Red Devils get ready for nine fixtures in the month of December.
While Paul Pogba made his return to the squad after being out for a couple of months with an injury to his hamstring, Zlatan has also made three substitute appearances in recent times after recovering from a cruciate knee ligament injury. The young striker is glad to have both top players back into the team, as Jose Mourinho’s side is set for some quick upcoming fixtures in the festive season and he spoke to MUTV, expressing his joy to have them back at such a crucial time.
“Not even just thinking about football, but thinking about them personally too, it’s hard to see your team-mates out for so long,” Rashford told MUTV. “To have them all back now has brought a really happy vibe to the squad. I’m sure they’re all really happy to be back playing again and if we can keep winning with them in the team it keeps everything rolling on.”
“It’s great to have all the games and, while we prefer to take it one game at a time when it’s so busy, by the time it gets to Christmas it calms down a bit and you can start to see pathways to certain tournaments and certain trophies.”
“As soon as you win a trophy, in my mind, straight away you’re thinking about winning the next one.”

Some of the key games that Manchester United will have to play will be their Champions League fixture in Russia against CSKA Moscow, an EFL Cup quarter-final tie versus Bristol City and a crucial Manchester derby, the first of this term. Knowing the positives of getting back their key players and how it will impact the overall morale of the team, Rashford seemed really happy to have his team-mates back.
Though the Englishman has expressed his happiness to have the two high-quality stars back openly, it will surely be incomparable to the joy and relief that the fans and Mourinho would be feeling at the moment. Injuries had become a growing concern for the Portuguese manager too and both the players are pure match-winners, who can really help lift United’s seasons with their talent and skill.
These nine fixtures could help decide the fate of the fate of the team for the current campaign, as to whether or not they will be winning any titles this term or going home empty handed. Hopefully, things work out and Manchester United comes out on top.
