Red Devils superstar Romelu Lukaku has urged his boss Jose Mourinho to sign his brother Jordan Lukaku from Lazio this summer transfer window.
Jose Mourinho has identified that he needs to strengthen his defense if he stands any chance of winning the Premier League title against local rivals Manchester City. Pep Guardiola’s side broke plenty of records as they stormed their way to the Premiership last season, but Mourinho is eager to get one over his arch-rival. And the ‘Special One’ has been given some advice in order to get better for next season.
United have been trying to lure in a top class wing back but failed with a move to sign Juventus left-back Alex Sandro. With Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia also past their prime, Luke Shaw and Matteo Darmian have failed to impress Mourinho but Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku has reportedly asked the Portuguese boss to sign up his younger brother Jordan Lukaku at Old Trafford.
United To Finally Solve Wing Back Woes?
According to Italian newspaper Il Messaggero, Romelu Lukaku has spoken to Mourinho in regard to signing his younger brother Jordan Lukaku by offering a bid for Serie A club Lazio. The younger Lukaku brother did not manage to make it to the Belgian World Cup squad in Russia but has been impressive for the Italian club. And the 23-year-old is keen on leaving the Stadio Olimpico in the near future to join a bigger club and win more trophies like his elder brother.
However, United could face competition from Premier League outfit West Ham United as the Hammers are also keen on signing Jordan Lukaku.
I think that Manchester United can look into the transfer market for a few other defenders and use Jordan Lukaku as one of the latter resorts. Mourinho will be smart and use his transfer budget in the right manner to bring in players at Manchester United.
