It might be a very busy transfer window for Manchester United as they look to offload 6 players.
It looks like Manchester United are evolving under Ole Gunner Solskjaer. There has been a noticeable improvement in the club’s performance. Their unbeaten run now stands at 18. But there are still many improvements to be made.
United have been successful in developing a young core in the team. But as of now, there is not much strength on the bench in terms of support. The club had the opportunity to break into the top four. But Southampton held them up and exposed one of the weaknesses of the club.
As soon as Pogba and Bruno Fernandes left the pitch there was a drop in intensity. United could barely get on the ball and Southampton were the ones dominating the game.
Ole Gunner Solskjaer said that in his time United always bought attacking players. And this might be well within his plans. According to the Metro, Jadon Sancho is the main target for the Red Devils. Jack Grealish is also one of the names regularly linked with the club.
However, neither of these players will be available easily. United will have to spend a fortune on Sancho or Grealish. And considering the financial situations it will be hard to do so. United also took the burden of managing all club expenses by themselves during the lockdown.
But the club has a plan. Ole Gunner Solskjaer has made his choices in terms of the United team. And there are many players who might be getting the sack in the future.
Six United players who’s future is in danger
Manchester United will be looking to offload some players this season. Starting with Alexis Sanchez. Inter are interested in acquiring Sanchez’s services permanently. And United too are willing to sell.
Chris Smalling’s loan spell at the club is coming to an end now. Smalling wants to extend his stay at Roma. The club too wants to make a deal to permanently acquire is services. Both the clubs are close to an agreement and a price tag of £21 million is being discussed.
Rojo too is on loan to an Argentinian club Estudiantes Le Plata. Rojo doesn’t really have much of a future with the club and is looking to secure a permanent move. United are willing to comply.
Apart from that according to a report from the Telegraph, Jones, Dalot, and Lingard might be on the way out. Jesse Lingard looks to be completely out of Ole’s plan. The player hasn’t even made appearances on the bench in any of the Premier League games.
The same is the case for Phil Jones. His proneness to injury and emergence of Lindelof and Maguire has sidelined his Manchester United career. Diego Dalot too has very little starts for United.
Wan Bissaka has cemented his position in the club and Dalot is struggling for game time. United are hoping to raise some funds by getting rid of some player. The main target is to financially support the club’s summer acquisitions.
However, a lot of this also depends on whether the club can qualify for the Champions League. United need to finish strong and as Champions League is a requirement for Jadon Sancho.
