Manchester United Legend Believes “We Can Outshine Them” In The Cup Final

Former Manchester United midfielder Ryan Giggs believes that Jose Mourinho has enough and more quality in order to beat Chelsea in the FA Cup final.

Manchester United will take on fierce rivals Chelsea in the FA Cup final this Saturday at Wembley with either of the two Premier League giants looking to end the season with some silverware. An intriguing battle awaits with the ‘Special One’ (Jose Mourinho) taking on the former Premier League winner (Antonio Conte) in a contest which neither of the managers can afford to lose.

The pundits, fans, and others across the globe have expressed their opinions ahead of the crunch clash and so has Manchester United legend, Ryan Giggs. The former Welsh international is waiting to watch the ‘special players’ at United dismantle the Chelsea defense.

Although United have not always showcased their attacking brilliance due to Mourinho’s defensive approach, Giggs is well aware of the quality that his former club possesses.

Giggs Speaks Up Ahead Of FA Cup Final-

The Red Devils legend spoke to MUTV and compared the two sides’ attacking options but stated that the Red side from Manchester has the players to ensure a successful season, “It is an important day because coming second in the Premier League and winning the FA Cup is a successful season.”

Giggs went on to get into detail with the two squads predicting that the attackers will make the difference on the day of the final, “If you can keep Eden Hazard quiet then I always think you have a great chance against Chelsea. Of course, Willian is a special player as well, so if you can keep both them quiet then you have a chance.  United have some special players as well. Marcus Rashford scored at the weekend, Alexis Sanchez is coming into form and starting to look good, and we’re hoping Romelu Lukaku can make the final. It will be won and lost with the special players. Those forwards can make the difference.”

Author’s Take-

Giggs is only partially correct regarding the attack being the most important and even Mourinho is well aware of the threat his former players can cause him. The Portuguese boss will set up his team well but Conte will also need to bring out the best in his side to breakdown Mourinho’s tactics.
