Manchester United Favorites To Sign La Liga Superstar In An Incredible Swap Deal

The Red Devils are ready to offer Atletico Madrid one star plus transfer fees in order to lure attacker Antoine Griezmann to Old Trafford.

Griezmann was reported to join Jose Mourinho at Manchester United last season but a late transfer ban that was stamped on Atletico Madrid prompted the star forward to remain at the club. But with Atleti struggling to win any major competitions Griezmann is keen on moving away from the Spanish side to add more silverware to his cabinet.

Inside News-

United boss Jose Mourinho still considers Griezmann one of his prime targets in the summer transfer window hoping to bring the French starlet to England. The 27-year-old has been incredible for Atletico Madrid once again this season as his 27 goals in all competitions helped the club to 2nd on the La Liga table as well as the Europa League final.

According to news outlet Don Balon, the Red side of Manchester is preparing a massive bid of £88 million (€100 million) plus one Manchester United player in order to negotiate a deal with Atletico Madrid for Griezmann. So far the identity of the player leaving Old Trafford has not been revealed but it could be Anthony Martial.

The report also went on to state that Atletico Madrid will be willing to accept the mouthwatering offer unless their fierce league rivals Barcelona don’t put up a better deal. Griezmann put his future in doubt earlier this week after he made these comments, “If I’m going to continue at Atletico, I don’t know, we’ll see. We’re talking to the club to see what can be done”

Author’s Take-

It seems certain that Griezmann wants to win titles and despite Atletico Madrid being a solid team, they find it extremely difficult to keep up their high intensity in a league dominated by Barcelona and Real Madrid. I think Griezmann will leave for Manchester United because Atleti would not want to sell their prized asset to a direct rival like Barcelona as it could come back to haunt them.
