Till now Nelson Semedo has made 29 appearances for Benfica in all competitions this season and was also a part of the Portuguese team. His contract is set to expire in 2021 and has been with Benfica since his transfer from Sintrense in 2012.
Managers are not the only ones who have been all praises for Semedo as Benfica legend, Antonio Veloso, has also regarded the right back as an ‘extraordinary player’. According to him, “Nelson Semedo is an extraordinary player and is still on the rise … He is very fast, he works well on the defensive and offensive aspect and there have been interested clubs, which is natural.” (source: daily star)
