Manchester City will welcome Paris Saint-Germain for the second leg of the Champions League semi-final. Pep Guardiola’s side managed to win the game first leg at Parc des Princes by 1-2. Kevin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez scored the goals after Marquinhos had given the host the first goal.
Now the Citizens not only have a one-goal lead but they have also have two away goals now. PSG will have to score at least two goals and only then they have a chance of reaching the final. While for Manchester City they will have to stay vigilant for a major part of the game.
Even if they score the first goal early and let their guard down, the Parisians can hurt them and things will be back to square one. It is also possible that we might see a more defensive Manchester City because Guardiola has often refused to allow his side to express themselves fully in such knockout games.
Analysis: Manchester City vs PSG
The Citizens are aware that PSG will be desperate to hold the ball and attack to score goals. Manchester City could allow that to happen, that they will allow the visitors to keep possession. However, they will try to press them very hard as they did against Real Madrid at Etihad last season.
Pep Guardiola can lay this trap and if Parisians aren’t able to deal with the press, City can try to score in the transition. On the other hand, when the home side is in possession, PSG will try to press them hard and win the ball early.
The hard pressing game is likely to go on for 20-25 minutes after that the will could see some spells of possession for one of the teams. Set pieces will also be crucial in the game. As the most important thing will be to score goals and both Poch and Guardiola would not mind the manner in which they come.
When and Where

Head to Head Stats
Manchester City are yet to be defeated by PSG in Europe having faced them four times. The Citizens have won twice against them and two times there has been a draw.
Kevin De Bryune
The Belgian star is often praised for his assists, however, he has a very good record against the Ligue 1 giants. The Citizens will be hoping that not only does he provide assists in this game but also score one or two.
Paris Saint Germain
With Mbappe facing a late fitness test, more responsibility comes on the Brazilian. Man City players would want to avoid facing him alone and they might crowd him out. If PSG players are able to make runs in spaces left behind by the City players and if Neymar is able to find them, the visitors will be able to create good chances.
12th Man Prediction: Manchester City 1 vs PSG 1
In the first leg, both teams struggled to create clear-cut chances. It is likely that the same will happen in this leg as well.
