Summer is a long wait and there’s still a lot to play for United this season. But the club seems to already have started laying plans for the next transfer window. There are has already been a lot of movement and noises coming out of the club about next season’ incomings and outgoings.
Summer plans for Woodward
Ed Woodward has already handed renewals and extensions to quite a few players. With the managerial position under a lot of scrutiny from fans and media, Woodward is under a lot of pressure before next season. There have been rumours of certain players leaving the club, which are not seen as a part of the club’s future. The biggest shocker being of, Romelu Lukaku.
The Belgian this term has struggled to carry on his form from last season and be on a consistent run. Although he has netted four times in the last two matches, he still needs to do better on many other fronts of his game.
The Belgian although has heaped praises from his manager, who after United 3-2 win again Saints said, “He is a quality scorer, We need to have him more in front of the goal. But he has done fantastic in his work rate, attitude, he loves scoring goals, he smiles every day, he does the extra shooting in training.”
Dybala on United’s radar
But, according to English daily ‘The Sun’, United are looking to offload the 25 years-old striker. They have also claimed that Red Devils are looking to bring in Juventus playmaker, Paulo Dybala, who has reportedly fallen out with his manager, Max Allegri. The deal is rumoured to cost around $140m to the English club.
Ed Woodward has a lot of wrongs to put right this summer and knowing how he likes things at the club, Dybala’s arrival isn’t too far fetched. Romelu Lukaku, on the other hand, has still a lot to prove to fit into Solksjaer’s team but his departure doesn’t look so imminent.
